# Craft critique

**Artifact / revision / reviewer / actual inspection conditions:**

Inspect thumbnail, intended size, native source and nearest-neighbor enlargement. Separate visible observation, measured result and inference.

| Dimension | Observation or measurement | Severity | Specific correction | Recheck |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Story without a headline | | | | |
| Silhouette and value hierarchy | | | | |
| Anatomy / joint / hand-tool-object contact | | | | |
| Light direction, occlusion and receiving planes | | | | |
| Material-specific response, not blanket shine | | | | |
| Ramp relationships and semantic accents | | | | |
| Clusters, contour runs, banding, isolated noise | | | | |
| Intended crop / small display size | | | | |
| Grid/palette/export requirements actually verified | | | | |
| Treatment distinct and justified | | | | |
| Host text, focus, state color and reduced/static modes | | | | |
| Provenance / rights / authorship labels | | | | |

## Revision decision

- **Keep:** specific successful relationships, not merely “looks good.”
- **Change now:** the highest-impact failure and a bounded edit.
- **Avoid:** changes that would damage the successful story or introduce a second style gratuitously.
- **Evidence after change:** output inspected and comparison outcome.
- **Still not established:** distinguish remaining quality judgments, tools not exercised and device/production limits.

A technical pass cannot overrule an unclear focal action. A reviewer’s preference is not owner approval.
