# Pixel craft brief

- **Audience / owning project / surface:**
- **Outcome:** one action or visual metaphor, stated without style words.
- **Route:** native grid / editorial hybrid / concept-to-grid redraw.
- **Deliverables:** exact required native/final sizes, editable format, still/animation, alpha/color-space needs. Mark flexible values as flexible.
- **Reference roles and rights:** style, composition, identity, material; what may be reused versus studied only.
- **Composition:** focal point, silhouette, foreground/midground/background, eye path, negative space, desktop/mobile crop.
- **Value plan:** grouped dark/mid/light masses; smallest-size check.
- **Lighting plan:** source positions/directions, size/softness, color, ambient/bounce, occluders/receivers. List intentional stylizations separately.
- **Materials:** local colors, roughness/reflectivity/translucency, ramp roles, specular/edge treatment.
- **Palette:** image gamut, ramp sizes, light/shadow relationships, exact reserved accents and masks; color-managed pipeline.
- **Pixel contract:** logical grid, contour rhythm, detail density, dithering policy, export scale; or explicitly unrestricted hybrid.
- **Art direction:** one primary vocabulary. Optional supporting reference, only if it contributes a different useful mechanism.
- **Treatment:** none / VHS / CRT / digital glitch. Reason, intensity, spatial/temporal units and ordering. Separate approximation from emulation.
- **Host identity:** approved brand and token source; real type/logos outside art; no cross-brand inference.
- **Interaction and fallback:** default still, controls, Off, reduced motion, keyboard, absent JS/assets, cleanup and visibility.
- **Acceptance:** story, contact/anatomy, light, materials, clusters, small accents, crop and technical export checks.
- **Do not change:** preserve successful content during revision.
