A small workbench for a deliberate treatment. Start with the original, choose one visual language, then compare what it adds—and what it takes away.

An illustrated workshop with warm task lighting, cool shadows, shelves and a workbench.
Original workshop illustration. Generated editorial hybrid, not hand-authored native-grid pixel art.

The original image is available without JavaScript. Enable JavaScript for optional, local-only effects and PNG export. Nothing animates automatically.

01 / Different mechanisms

CRT is a display treatment. VHS suggests chroma bandwidth, delay and tracking. Digital glitch displaces discrete regions. They are separate studies, not one retro filter.

02 / Pixels, not a palette claim

The source is sampled into a bounded grid without mandatory color reduction. Effects introduce colors by design; they do not preserve a strict indexed palette.

03 / Exact export grid

PNG contains the processed image only, at the displayed logical dimensions multiplied by 1, 2, 3 or 4. Enlargement is nearest-neighbor. Browser-fit previews may use fractional scaling.
